ACE Platform Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the permitted and prohibited uses of the ACE (Agentic Context Engineering) platform. This policy is legally binding and incorporated into our Terms of Service.
Violation of this policy may result in immediate termination of your account without refund.
2. Intended Use
ACE is designed and intended for:
- Software development productivity - Learning coding patterns to improve workflows
- Code quality improvement - Identifying best practices and common pitfalls
- Knowledge management - Building a structured playbook of coding insights
- Team collaboration - Sharing learned patterns within development teams
- Personal learning - Individual developers improving their coding practices
3. Prohibited Uses
3.1 High-Risk AI Applications (EU AI Act Annex III)
ACE SHALL NOT be used for any of the following high-risk applications:
Employment and Worker Management
- Evaluating job candidates or making hiring decisions
- Performance evaluation of employees for HR purposes
- Determining promotions, demotions, or terminations
- Work allocation based on developer "scores" or patterns
- Monitoring individual worker productivity for disciplinary action
- Any use that affects employment terms or conditions
Education and Training Access
- Determining admission to educational institutions
- Evaluating students for academic placement
- Making decisions about educational credentials
- Assessing aptitude or learning disabilities
Essential Services Access
- Credit scoring or loan decisions
- Insurance pricing or eligibility
- Access to essential public services
- Benefits eligibility determination
Law Enforcement and Justice
- Criminal justice risk assessment
- Predictive policing
- Evidence evaluation in legal proceedings
- Immigration or asylum decisions
- Border control applications
Biometric and Surveillance
- Biometric identification or categorization
- Emotion recognition systems
- Real-time surveillance systems
- Social scoring or behavioral profiling
Critical Infrastructure
- Management of water, gas, electricity, or heating
- Road traffic management systems
- Safety components of critical infrastructure
3.2 Prohibited Data Submission
You SHALL NOT submit to ACE:
- Personal Identifiable Information (PII) of individuals without consent
- Protected Health Information (PHI) subject to HIPAA or similar regulations
- Financial account data (credit cards, bank accounts)
- Authentication credentials (passwords, API keys, tokens, secrets)
- Classified or government-restricted information
- Data subject to legal privilege (attorney-client, medical)
- Data you do not have rights to process
- Malicious code, malware, or exploits intended for harm
3.3 Security Violations
You SHALL NOT:
- Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
- Probe, scan, or test system vulnerabilities without authorization
- Circumvent authentication, security controls, or rate limits
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract proprietary algorithms
- Use the Service to develop competing products
- Share API tokens or credentials with unauthorized parties
- Automate access in ways that overwhelm the Service (DoS)
3.4 Legal Violations
You SHALL NOT use ACE for:
- Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Infringing intellectual property rights of others
- Activities that would violate export control laws
- Money laundering, fraud, or other financial crimes
- Harassment, defamation, or harm to individuals
3.5 Commercial Restrictions
Without explicit written authorization, you SHALL NOT:
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service
- Offer the Service as part of a managed service to third parties
- Use the Service to provide bureau or outsourcing services
- White-label or rebrand the Service
4. Compliance Obligations
4.1 Your Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Ensuring your use complies with this AUP
- Ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws
- Obtaining necessary consents for data you submit
- Training your team on acceptable use
- Monitoring your organization's use of the Service
- Promptly reporting any violations you discover
4.2 EU AI Act Deployer Obligations
If you integrate ACE into your own products or services, you may be classified as a "deployer" under the EU AI Act. You are responsible for:
- Complying with deployer obligations in the EU AI Act
- Providing required transparency to your end users
- Implementing appropriate human oversight
- Conducting necessary risk assessments
- Maintaining required documentation
ACE as provider does not assume your compliance obligations.
5. Monitoring and Enforcement
5.1 Our Rights
We reserve the right to:
- Monitor use of the Service for compliance
- Investigate reported or suspected violations
- Remove content that violates this AUP
- Suspend or terminate accounts for violations
- Report illegal activities to law enforcement
- Cooperate with legal investigations
5.2 Violation Consequences
Violations may result in:

5.3 Appeals
If you believe enforcement action was taken in error, contact legal@code-engine.app within 14 days with details supporting your position. We will review and respond within 30 days.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP:
- Email: abuse@code-engine.app
- Subject: "AUP Violation Report"
- Include: Description of violation, evidence if available
We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP to reflect:
- Changes in law or regulation
- New prohibited use cases
- Clarifications based on user questions
Material changes will be communicated via email and Website notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
